Active orchestra groups in Toyama Prefecture have joined each other and are working on mutual exchange and artistic improvement. One of its characteristics is that it is composed of members of various ages, ranging from elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, universities, and general orchestras. The Federation holds a concert every autumn, and an orchestra festival once every two years on a large scale.
