Senryu is a humorous poem, similar to Haiku in form.

Established in January 1995 as an organization that makes meetings about Senryu poems in order to bring together people who likes to read and who are living in Toyama Prefecture. The National Cultural Festival was held in this occasion in Toyama in 1996. The annual general meeting, banquet, and the Toyama Senryu Tournament are held in the autumn.
